Lumidee (born Lumidee Cedeño) began singing and rapping at the age of 12, and was 19 years old when her recordings first hit the streets. After graduation, the Spanish Harlem native recorded the single "Never Leave You (Uh-Oooh)", using Steven “Lenky” Marsden’s Diwali Rhythm, which went to #3 on the Billboard pop charts and was a top 5 world wide smash hit. Universal released her full-length debut, Almost Famous, in 2003.

2006 marks the release of her new single “She’s Like the Wind” feat. Tony Sunshine off of her long awaited sophomore album, Unexpected.  The album features guests and producers including: Snoop Dogg, Shaggy, Steven “Lenky” Marsden, J Marty, Scott Storch, Wyclef Jean, Jim Jones, & N.O.R.E.
